Through a series of interviews, academy award winner Michel Gondry illustrates Noam Chomsky’s theories in an animated documentary, where Gondry’s creativity and imagination serve Chomsky’s intellectual rigor. Chomsky has a memory, knowledge of sciences and history, a logic that is both unrivaled and overwhelming, but that is revealed to us by the means of Gondry’s naive yet complex animation drawings. The lively, sometimes intricate, often touching and always very humane dialogue with Chomsky is depicted naturally by the stream of Gondry’s subjective animation. Using animated drawings, Michel Gondry brings to light Noam Chomsky both as an eminent professor and as a man.
